Joel is currently scoring Orville, Seth MacFarlane’s new sci-fi-fi comedy/drama show for Fox premiering in the fall 2017. He continues to score American Dad as well.
He is currently finishing producing MacFarlane’s new album with 16 new orchestral arrangements scheduled for a September release.
He is working on a new project for Tokyo Disneyland.
Joel toured with Seth MacFarlane conducting concerts with such orchestras as The Seattle Symphony, The Baltimore Symphony, The Atlanta Symphony, The San Diego Symphony and the Nashville Symphony.
He completed a new musical for Disneyland Paris called Micky and the Magician.
In 2015, Joel produced and arranged "No One Ever Tells You" his third album with Seth MacFarlane, which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Jazz Chart. It has been nominated for a 2016 Grammy Award in Best Traditional Pop Album.
Joel appeared in live performances with Seth on the "Today Show" and "Live with Stephen Colbert", and as part of the concert tour with Seth MacFarlane, conducted the Baltimore Symphony, the Atlanta Symphony, the Ravina Philharmonic and the Count Basie Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl.
Joel is currently working on new scores for new Shanghai Disneyland and Paris Disneyland theme park attractions, and continues his work writing on "American Dad" which airs on TBS.
Joel is continuing his collaboration with Oscar-nominated singer/songwriter Seth MacFarlane with their second studio album, "Holiday For Swing". The Christmas album, featuring timeless holiday songs and lesser-known gems, also showcases performances by Norah Jones and Sara Bareilles, and will hit stores from Republic Records in time for the holiday season.
Joel is also currently working on the score to Legend of the Neverbeast for Disney.
